Well here we have some fantastic news for you George followers and lovers…..he is homed! We waited until he was really well and then yesterday he went to be castrated and inoculated, and now he is all bright well and happy and went straight to be with his new Mum and dad. Brilliant news, have a happy life now George.

George’s Story

George lived in a Spanish village, he was a stray that had managed to survive finding somewhere to sleep and living on scraps, he was resourceful and friendly and managing well. Until he became ill and could hardly walk. An Association member picked him up and took him to the vet where we were prepared to have him put to sleep; he looked into her eyes and wagged his tail. We asked the vet if he could be saved and after many blood tests and diagnosis of filaria, other infections and anaemia and the common disease that dogs get from living outside – Leishmania. He appeared to be in a bad way and his care and medication was going to be costly but little George was worth it and so the process began to get him well. George still needs care and medication but every day he improves and is a loveable gentle boy who asks for nothing. He enjoys sitting in the sun and taking in the rays and he absolutely loves it when people talk to him and stroke him.
